About Us

Rochester, New York was a hub of activity in the 1950's as pioneers such as Eastman Kodak, Haloid (later to become Xerox), Bausch and Lomb, and Gleason Works strengthened their positions. Initially, these companies were self-sufficient, but as time went on, leaders of these organizations made the decision to focus on what they did best and began outsourcing work which could be done more economically on the outside.

As a result of these outsourcing activities, small companies began emerging in the Rochester area. In 1954, Mr. Bernard Woodward Jr. founded Dynak, a research/development/manufacturing firm, comprised of inventors, draftsmen, and mechanics. Soon afterward, Dynak became recognized as "The Premier Research and Development Firm" in the Rochester area; a reputation well deserved by a company which augmented the efforts of Rochester's industrial leaders.

Through the course of participating in many projects of various natures, Dynak has come to touch nearly every American's life. For half a century we have provided start-ups, as well as small, mid, and large size corporations with our expertise in research, development, prototyping, and production. We have played major roles in helping our customers from concept through launch phases of their programs. Additionally, we have invented, manufactured, and marketed our own products.
